They'd wear them around town if we let them!

So I come across a certain annoying toy in the kitchen yesterday evening, swoop it up and ask Renee what the repercussions of depositing it in the garbage can would be. "Just don't let the kids see you do it," she says. Into the can it goes. Said toy was a talking hippo figurine. When bumped it would say in a growly voice, "Wow - I'm like every hippo's dream" - whatever that means.
I thought I had taken care of that one nuisance and was quite happy with myself until the garbage can starting talking to me when I was cleaning up after supper. More than once I've dropped something in and its responded, "Wow!" Somehow the kids haven't quite clued in yet!

Rachel's new way of indicating she needs a diaper change!

  1. Hee hee! I know what I'll be scouring Toronto for! Sounds like hippo would make an excellent Christmas present! :) So tempting...but it might not be good when Renee's 8 1/2 months pregnant to run into a hippo saying "I'm like every hippo's dream"...could just send her over the edge! ;)

  2. Don't you dare Amy! You can't buy it in stores anyway-it's a McD's happy meal toy.

  3. Thanks so much for keeping us updated on the grandkids! Those goofie glasses remind me of the first time we met J & D - wearing something very similar! The apple doesn't fall very far does it?!?

  5. Now, wait a minute, Steve.... Those goggles look nothing like the enormous sunglasses my parents were wearing...

  6. And Amy, McD's is so bad for you, wouldn't, say, Subway or even Wendy's, be more beneficial for your children?
