All the kids had candles in their heart-shaped cupcakes. As the parents sang "Happy Birthday" the kids had big grins on their faces. There was such joy in sharing in the moment with Rachel as they all blew out their own candles, not just celebrating Rachel's life but all the children's lives as well.
Happy Birthday Rachel! I was thinking about you all day yesterday! Here's a big birthday hug! We love you! Kelley, Mark, Oliver and Karis
ReplyDeleteAre gluten free candles THAT hard to blow out? I'm thankful the diet is working out well. You'll get into a rhythm where it will all be very natural and wheat will be the strange recipe!
ReplyDeleteMaybe we can call soon after Nancy gets back from S.C.
I'm glad you can enjoy special times with the kids. Thanks for the photos. They are precious (the kids, that is, not the photos per se)
Love, Dad P.
Happy Birthday Rachel. What a great idea to have all the kids blow out candles. At this age everyone wants to be included. I'm glad you found a gluten free cake.
ReplyDeleteHope to see/talk to you soon,
Sara
