Another Tuesday has come and, now, is almost gone. Joel and I are at home, thankful and still trusting. Trusting God...for what? Trusting God to keep Emily alive? No. We are trusting God to do what He wants to do. And what He will do will be right, it will be good, and it will be the best. Joel and I are still praying for healing and for Emily to live, but we know that God has the final say. And that's ok with us.
Thank you for all your prayers to our Father in heaven. Thank you for your support, encouragement and concern. Though there have been hard days and hard moments, we have felt supported through all of this.
Some highlights for today:
Emily Grace is no longer breech! (Meaning: Head was up near Renee's stomach. The 'wrong' position for delivery.) She has been breech every time we have had an ultrasound until today! She is head down and seems to be facing the right way, please pray that she will stay this way. Joel enjoys playing with Emily - chasing her foot around, trying to grab it!
Emily (and therefore Renee also) seems to be getting bigger. We will know next Tuesday how much Emily weighs and whether her weight gain is a concern. (A few weeks ago, Emily was two weeks behind in her weight gain, and therefore caused some concern among the doctors.)

Beautiful letter. And beautiful family. Wonderful Lord we serve.
Wow! I never took you guys backpacking at three years of age! But I do remember my anxiety over driving you two hours out to Cline River for you to hike alone for a couple of hours in grizzly, cougar country catching up to your friends. And you were 17! I'm a big chicken.
Thanks Renee, for letting the guys go off like that. We pray for you and Emily daily. Hard to imagine the stress you can't really get away from. Just remember Philippians 4:4-7 Still true and still a comfort from the One who knows and loves you both. "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
Love, Dad P.
Joel, Renee, Joshua, Rachel and Emily Grace-
We're praying for you most especially today and tomorrow. Praying for a sweet, gentle birth for Emily Grace. Praying for Joshua and Rachel to have a blessed time w/ Grandma and Grandpa. Praying for Joel and Renee for peace and strength from our Lord! Praying for the sweet, sweet sound of Emily Grace's first cries. Your family is such a blessing to all. We love you.
